Texas Medicaid Information Special Needs: Having a special needs child can be demanding on any household. 1) Texas Medicaid: This program is income-sensitive and if you make less than a certain income level then you are not eligible for in-home health nursing and/or hospital benefits. Contact your Medicaid representative for further information.

2) MDCP Program: This program is designed for Texan families that make OVER the income level to be eligible for Medicaid as shown above. However, there is an 8 year waiting list for parents to enroll in this program.
