TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS
Telehealth (or Telemed) appointments are primarily used for behavior visits but can also be used to monitor a stable patient after an ER visit, review lab work with a provider, follow up on a non-respiratory illness, and more. If you are interested in turning your upcoming visit into a Telehealth appointment, give us a call and we will determine if this is an option for your child.
How it works
The day of your appointment, a medical assistant will completed the triage process by calling the primary number in your child's chart. During this call, they will verify your phone number and get a general sense of how the patient is doing. When the provider is ready to see you, they will send a text to the verified number with a link in it. Click that link to be taken directly into a video chat with the provider.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Both a parent/guardian AND the child have to be present at the time of the appointment.
- Similarly to an in person visit, you may not see the provider at your EXACT appointment time. If the provider is running behind schedule, the medical assistant will let you know during your triage call.
- If your child is needing medications refilled, please call your pharmacy to double check that they have it in stock before meeting with the provider.
